10 more weeks :(

Easter has started, spring is here. For a country with no religion, it is shocking the way they get all done up for Easter. They have set up stands in the old town square and all over the city. Stands of what? Leathers, silvers, amber, Prague plates, Prague mugs, Prague bags, Prague everthings...stands of candy, chocolate, crepes, cookies, meat, yea, a lot of meat. They also have stands and stands of hand decorated eggs, they are so beautiful. All painted different colors and different designs, I am afraid to touch them in fear of breaking dozens of eggs. The festival lasts until the 30th, and we have been involved each day! It is nice to at least stop for a snack or lunch, and the folks are easy to barder with. And in the late afternoon and into the evening they use this huge stage for little concerts and dance performances. We haven't been yet because our schedules have conflicted, but have big plans to see the childrens choirs and recitals.

Classes are all going really well. Yea, I am actually doing some studying here and going to school. I love my visual studies class. We watch a lot of older Czech films, a lot of interesting stuff. I love talking about how culture has changed and seeing it through film. I didn't realized how different humor was between cultures and time until this class. On Thursdays I have art and arcitecture, which is great. We lecture half of the class and then go walk around. The teacher doesn't believe we can learn about arcitecture if aren't looking at it, and how can we understand art if we don't see the real thing? I love it love it love it! My other 2 classes are nice too, but they are almost back to back with the same teacher...6 hours is a long long time with the same teacher.
Otherwise, all is well, just loving life and Prague as usual...and getting pumped for Berlin this weekend, St Patrick's day on Monday and Andria's family next week!

love from Praha,

Roxanne
